Renowned Ghanaian musician EL has made a dynamic return with his latest EP titled "The Teacher."
Released on September 8th, this project underscores the artist's renewed commitment to the music scene.
"The Teacher" features seven captivating tracks that delve into EL's roots, drawing inspiration from the Azonto genre. The EP kicks off with "Intro: The Teacher," a track that provides a glimpse into EL's creative process, setting the tone for the album.
The mood shifts to the euphoric anthem "Soba," seamlessly blending Azonto and hip-hop elements.
In the third track, "Who Say," EL skillfully combines the iconic Azonto style with a touch of Amapiano, resulting in a self-written fusion. The track "Eshocki" was born from a picturesque moment by the poolside in Virginia, where EL drew inspiration from mimosa and created a rhythmic tale filled with humor.
Continuing the Azonto vibe, EL collaborates with the talented duo Dope Nation on "Korle Bu," a track with a remarkable backstory.
EL recorded it remotely while away from the country, and the collaboration proved historic.
Steering away from Azonto, EL presents "Chop Life," a party hip-hop tune infused with elements of alternative hip-hop, UK grime, and pop rap.
The EP culminates with "Yalé," an expert fusion of "Jama" music and Azonto rhythms, capturing the essence of EL's high school days at Presec.
